Abstract:
Provided are a solar cell manufacturing method and a slotting tool that enable manufacture of integrated thin film solar cells with good yield. A slotting tool (8) is used wherein the shape of the bottom surface (83) of the cutting edge portion (81) of the slotting tool (8) is a rectangle that extends to be long and thin in the direction of movement. The tool has a shape wherein the bottom surface (83) and the front surface (84) and the back surface (85) of the cutting edge portion that are positioned on the axis of the direction of movement intersect at right angles, the corners thereof form cutting edges (86) and (87), and the right and left side surfaces of the cutting edge portion are formed to be parallel. When patterning, the tool is slanted in the forward direction with the angle of the front surface (84) or the back surface (85) of the cutting edge portion with respect to the upper surface of a substrate (W) in the range of 50‑80°.
