Abstract:
A sludge-blanket-type high-speed coagulating sedimentation pond (4) comprises: a body (41) which has a rectangular shape in a plan view, has a bottom surface disposed horizontally, and is divided into a sedimentation part (43) and a sludge hopper part (44) by a separation wall (42); a small water tank (45) in which all or a portion of sludge blanket layers (S) in the height direction have a bottom structure having an inverse conical shape or inverse truncated conical shape and which is disposed across the entire bottom surface of the sedimentation part (43); a treatment target water inflow pipe (46) through which water to be treated is allowed to flow into the vicinity of the small water tank (45); and a water collection device (47) which collects sedimentation water that moves upward within a clarification separation zone (C) formed above the sludge blanket layers (S). In the sedimentation part (43), the upward flow rate becomes maximum in the vicinity of the bottom of the small water tank (45).
