Abstract:
A sludge dewatering apparatus (1) is provided, which comprises: a sludge-conveying device (3) for conveying aqueous sludge (9) to be treated; a dispensing device (4) connected to the sludge-conveying device (3); at least one container for receiving the sludge from the dispensing device (4) which is closeable and the volume of which is variable; an extrusion device (6) for extruding the aqueous sludge from the container; a pressing device (5) for giving the extrusion device (6) pressure; the extrusion device (6) includes a plurality of movable extrusion plates (16) being spaced apart from one another, at least one container is a soft filter bag (17), which is mounted between the spaced extrusion plates (16) and has a sealing mechanism (18) at the bag opening. To improve the water removal rate of treated sludge, the pressure to the extrusion device (6) provided by the pressing device (5) is not less than 15 Kg/cm2. Moreover a dewatering method is provided utilizing the sludge dewatering apparatus.
