Disclosed is a sludge flocking unit for flocking sludge being fed to a solid-liquid separator wherein a solid-liquid separation efficiency is enhanced by separating water from sludge before being fed to the solid-liquid separator to thereby increase the concentration of solids of the sludge and then feeding the concentration-increased sludge to the solid-liquid separator. The sludge flocking unit comprises a filtration body (19) provided in a mixing tank into which sludge and flocculant are fed and having a plurality of fixed rings (17) arranged at intervals and movable rings (18) arranged between the adjoining fixed rings (17), and a pressurization member (38) for moving the movable rings (18) about the central axes (X) of the fixed rings (17) while allowing the moval rings to slide on the outer circumferential surfaces of the fixed rings (17), wherein filtrate is made to flow into the filtration body (19) through a filtrate inflow gap (g) thereof, thus increasing the concentration of solids of the sludge.
