Abstract:

The present invention suppresses adhesion, of large-diameter particles included in slurry, to the surface of a belt-like member. This slurry application method comprises: spraying slurry onto a traveling belt-like member and/or a roll through a nozzle; and pushing the roll against the surface of the belt-like member to apply the slurry to the surface of the belt-like member, wherein a spray angle θ defined as an angle formed between the horizontal plane of the belt-like member and the spray direction of the nozzle is set to 0°-50° inclusive, a distance d in the conveyance direction of the belt-like member between a rotation center P2 of the roll and, among intersection points between the surface of the belt-like member and a straight line extending in the spray direction of the nozzle and intersection points between the surface of the roll and a straight line extending in the spray direction of the nozzle, an intersection point P1 closest to the nozzle is set to, at most, 100 mm, and a height H from the surface of the belt-like member to the intersection point P1 is set to, at most, 1/2 of the diameter of the roll.
