Abstract:
The present invention relates to a small hydropower generation apparatus and a control method therefor, wherein prediction control and feedback control are simultaneously implemented so as to increase the power generation efficiency of a water turbine and optimally utilize flow rate. The small hydropower generation apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a water storage tank connected and provided to the discharge outlet of a sewage treatment plant; a water turbine having a plurality of blades provided to the outer peripheral surface of a hub at a variable pitch angle, and arranged at the lower portion of the water storage tank; a conveyor pipe connected from the water storage tank to the water turbine; an inlet valve provided to the upper end side of the water turbine so as to open or close the path of the conveyor pipe; a hydraulic driving part for opening or closing the inlet valve and controlling the pitch angle of the blades; a control unit for controlling the operations of the hydraulic driving part; a power generator connected to the water turbine; and a magnet switch to be turned on if the rotation speed of the water turbine reaches a rated speed so as to connect the output terminal of the power generator to the Korean power system.
