Abstract:
A small-sized electric actuator capable of controlling the position and movement
speed of a rod by a simple structure. In the electric actuator (1), rotation of
an electric motor (3) as the drive source is reduced in speed by a reduction mechanism
and transmitted to a screw shaft (4), and a rod (5) in screw engagement with the
screw shaft (4) so as to be able to advance and retreat is reciprocally linearly
moved by rotation of the screw shaft (4). A potentiometer (variable resistor)(10)
is provided along the direction of movement of the rod (5), a slider (10a) of the
potentiometer (10) is fixed to the rod (5), and the position of the rod (5) is controlled
based on a voltage variation occurring when the resistance of the potentiometer
(10) varies with the movement of the slider (10a). Also, a DC motor (variable
speed motor) is used as the electric motor (30), and the movement speed of the rod
(5) is controlled based on a voltage variation rate caused by a variation in resistance
of the potentiometer (10).
