Abstract:

Provided are: a smart home service server for providing an environment in which a control command for a device can be called through a protocol of a user terminal so as to enable control between the device and the user terminal based on heterogeneous protocols; and a control method therefor. According to one embodiment, the smart home service server for connecting at least one device operating on the basis of a first protocol and at least one user terminal operating on the basis of a second protocol can comprise: an API control unit for calling a control command for the at least one device through the second protocol of the at least one user terminal; a filter for converting the called control command according to the first protocol; and a control command transmission unit for transmitting, to the at least one device, the control command converted according to the first protocol.
