Abstract:
The present invention relates to an insulin drug delivery system that is self-regulated by external stimuli such as glucose concentration, pH, temperature, or wavelength and comprises insulin and a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) functionalized with aminophenylboronic acid (APBA). The insulin drug delivery system, according to the present invention, is advantageous in that drug release can be easily controlled without the difficulty and inconvenience of a biosensor or blood sugar check.
