Abstract:
Disclosed are a smart key and a control method and apparatus using the same. A control method using a smart key according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: (a) when a particular button of the smart key is selected, transmitting a request for performing a control action matching the selected button to a control apparatus; and (b) when a request for user authentication is received from the control apparatus, receiving input for user authentication information and transmitting the user authentication information to the control apparatus, where said step (b) comprises receiving input for any one of a code including one or more of numbers and letters, a pattern connecting a multiple number of nodes, a fingerprint of the user, a voice code of the user, and a combination of long and short presses on a button of the smart key, as the input for the user authentication information.
