Abstract:
The present invention relates to a smart window including a plurality of frames disposed horizontally, at least one electrochromic window, and a plurality of dye-sensitized solar cell unit modules. Said electrochromic window is characterized in that it is installed in at least one portion of the space between said frames, and said plurality of dye-sensitized solar cell unit modules is installed in at least one portion of the remaining space between said frames. Thus, the electrochromic window may be operated through a built-in power source by utilizing the dye-sensitized solar cells without using an external power source, and the problem of complicated treatment wires may be easily solved. Also, when a product is installed, damaged, or broken, the product may be very easily installed or replaced. Since electrical connections and connections for fixing the product in place are processed at the same time, a separate space for such connections may not be required. Also, since a solar cell electrode surface and an electrode cap are continuously connected together, electrical loss may be reduced, and product protection and long-term durability may be achieved via a protective cap. In addition, problems such as the short-circuiting of internal wires may be prevented via an electrode connection structure having an uneven shape.
