Abstract:
A smell sensor, comprising a sensing device (1). The sensing device (1) comprises an electrode layer (15), a flexible substrate (14), and a sensing layer (13) which are sequentially provided, the flexible substrate (14) and the sensing layer (13) are respectively formed of different flexible polymers, and a potential difference can be generated by an external force; the sensing layer (13) is provided with a plurality of hole sites, the flexible substrate (14) is exposed from the hole sites, and chemical modifiers are provided on the hole sites to form smell sensing units; the chemical modifiers on at least some of the hole sites are different, the chemical modifiers are used to react with gases to make the potential change, and gases having different smells bind to different chemical modifiers for reaction. The difference in electronic capability between the flexible substrate (14) and the sensing layer (13) can produce a power supply, and the smell sensor does not need to use an external power supply and can be used in an environment where there is energy shortage. The plurality of smell sensing units improve the density of recognition sites; thus, more smells can be recognized, and the probabilities of gases in the air binding to the recognition sites are increased.
