Abstract:
A smoke detector (1) is provided with: a smoke detecting section which is surrounded by a plurality of labyrinth walls and detects smoke by receiving light scattered by the inflow of smoke from between the labyrinth walls; a sensor cover (11) which internally accommodates at least the smoke detecting section; and a body cover (12) installed consecutively to the sensor cover (11). The sensor cover (11) has a bottomed cylindrical shape, and a plurality of outer shell structure support sections (11a) extending in only the vertical direction and openings (11b) are arranged in alternating order on the side surface of the sensor cover (11). This sensor cover (11) configuration simplifies the mold for the sensor cover (11) and reduces the production cost of the smoke detector (1).
