Abstract:
This smoking detection device detects a smoking state of persons on the basis of the image information from an imaging unit which images persons. This smoking detection device is provided with: a smoking region setting means which, on the basis of a face image taken of a person's face, sets a smoking region where a cigarette being smoked is predicted to be; a cigarette detection means which detects cigarettes from images in said smoking region; and a smoking inference means which infers a smoking state if there is a cigarette in the smoking region.
