Abstract:
Provided is a snap button wherein, when a male snap part is removed from a female snap part, the rotation between the snap parts is limited, but the rotation between snap parts is permitted normally. A male-side groove surface (14b), where peaks and troughs are formed continuously over the entire circumferential region by a large number of grooves extending in the radial direction, is provided on the radial outside of the protrusion (12) of a male snap part (10), a female-side groove surface (26c) substantially similar to the male-side groove surface (14b) is provided on the radial outside of a protrusion receiving portion (21) of a female snap part (20), and the female-side groove surface (26c) is inclined relative to the male-side groove surface (14b). Normally, the male-side groove surface (14b) and the female-side groove surface (26c) are in a non-engaging state and the rotation between the snap parts (10, 20) is permitted. When the male snap part (10) is removed from the female snap part (20), the axes of the male snap part (10) and the female snap part (20) incline relative to each other at the time of coupling, and the male-side groove surface (14b) and the female-side groove surface (26c) are brought into an engaging state, whereby the rotation between the snap parts (10, 20) is limited.
