Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, and more particularly to snowmobile transmissions. The present snowmobile transmission comprises a chain drive housing with a cover, an input shaft, an output shaft, and a chain drive. The input and output shafts and a reverse shaft are disposed inside the housing. The chain drive comprises a chain that connects a drive sprocket and a driven sprocket, an internal shift fork, an external shift fork, and an adjusting rod. The drive sprocket is mounted on the input shaft. The driven sprocket is mounted on the output shaft. Mounted on the reverse shaft are a freely rotating reverse sprocket which interacts with the chain, and a reverse gear which interacts with a sliding pinion. The sliding pinion is mounted on a splined coupling on the input shaft and is movable by rotation of the internal switch fork and by actuation by an axle with a lever. The distance between the axes of the input and output shafts is in a range of from 291.1 to 291.2 mm. The result is an improvement in the reliability of a snowmobile transmission.
