Abstract:
The present invention relates to a snubber for a power conversion device, which is an inverter or a converter, and, more specifically, to a snubber for limiting the rate of rise of a current when a semiconductor switching element such as an IGCT is turned on in a high-voltage large-capacity power conversion device. According to the present invention, a loss due to a snubber can be reduced, a low-voltage diode can be used as a snubber diode, and the snubber can be applied without correcting or limiting a DC-link capacitor.
