Abstract:
Provided is a socket wherein a contact pitch is reduced compared with conventional cases. A socket 1 is provided with: an insulating supporting body 5; and two contact probes 7, which are supported in parallel to each other by means of the insulating supporting body 5. Each of the contact probes 7 has: a first plunger 10 and a second plunger 20; and a spring 35 that presses the plungers in the direction in which the plungers are separated from each other. The first plunger 10 has a flange section 12 for preventing the first plunger from removing from the insulating supporting body 5. In the insulating supporting body 5, a space between the flange sections 12 of the two contact probes 7 is a space 5h.
