Abstract:
The present invention provides: a soft magnetic iron alloy plate which not only is capable of suppressing an excessive increase in Pi while exhibiting a higher Bs than an electromagnetic pure iron plate, but also can be produced at a lower cost than permendur; and an iron core and a rotating electric machine which utilize the soft magnetic iron alloy plate. The soft magnetic iron alloy plate according to the present invention is characterized by having a chemical composition containing 1 to 30 atomic% of Co, 0.2 to 10 atomic% of N, 0.5 to 5 atomic% of M element which can form MN-type nitride, and the balance Fe and impurities, wherein when a cross-section of the soft magnetic iron alloy plate is observed, nitride particles of the M element have an average particle size of 0.5 µm or less and are deposited at a number density of 50/100 µm2 or less.
