Abstract:
A software icon display method and apparatus. The method comprises: parsing out a character to be called and a display mode of the character from an input instruction, the input instruction being used to draw on a set interface, or to update some or all of characters on an existing interface; and extracting a closed-path icon associated with the character to be called, and displaying the associated closed-path icon in the parsed-out character display mode. By means of the software icon display method and apparatus, association between an icon and a character is created, and closed-path icons are used, so that these closed-path icons can be displayed in the form of characters, and requirements of an icon character library for memory are far lower than those of a series of pictures in a conventional manner, which not only greatly accelerates a rendering speed of an icon, but also significantly lowers requirements for a processor and a memory of a system, thereby improving efficiency of software operations and improving user experience.
