A communication unit according to the present invention communicates with an external device. A download unit receives, from the external device via the communication unit, update software for updating the software of an electronic apparatus and update condition information indicating an update condition for executing the update of the software. An update allowability determination unit determines whether or not the update condition is satisfied.
