Abstract:
A solar airplane with solar cell modules mounted in the wings includes: a first solar cell module arranged in the main wings or tail wings for receiving the solar energy directly from the sun; a second solar cell module arranged in the main wings or tail wings for receiving the directed energy transmitted from the earth; and a rotatable shaft for turning the first solar cell module and the second solar cell module facing opposite directions respectively. The first solar cell module in the upper part receives the solar energy from the sun, and the second solar cell module in the lower part the directed energy transmitted from the earth. The solar cell modules on both sides are turned so as to receive the energy as much as possible, and have improved durability because they are arranged inside the wings so as to be less affected by the environment during flying.
