Provided is a solar battery cell manufacturing method having simple steps, high mass productivity, and a small environmental burden with no need for highly volatile organic solvents. A solar battery cell manufacturing method comprising: a printing step in which a partial region of a main surface of a semiconductor substrate (1) is coated, via a printing process, with a film of a liquid resin that cures under active energy rays, to form a resin layer (5) that comprises the liquid resin and has a pattern capable of forming an insulation layer (2) with an opening section (2a); a curing step in which the resin layer (5) is bombarded with active energy rays and the liquid resin is cured to form, on the main surface of the semiconductor substrate (1), the insulation layer (2) comprising the cured product of the liquid resin; a plating step in which an electrode (3) that connects to an exposed surface of the semiconductor substrate (1), said exposed surface being exposed from the insulation layer (2) by the opening section (2a), is formed within the opening section (2a) of the insulation layer (2) via a plating process; and a separation step in which, after the positioning of the electrode (3) within the opening section (2a) of the insulation layer (2) in the plating step, the insulation layer (2) is separated from the semiconductor substrate (1).
