Abstract:
Provided is a solar battery cell which has excellent light utilization efficiency and for which carrier recombination loss is suppressed. The solar battery cell comprises a back surface electrode 22 formed from an alloy of Ge and other metal elements, a first crystalline Si1-xGex layer 15 of a first polarity formed on a primary surface of the back surface electrode 22, and a second crystalline Si1-yGey layer 16 of a second polarity formed on a primary surface of the first crystalline Si1-xGex layer 15.
