Abstract:
Disclosed is a solar cell equipped with an electrode on a light incident surface side, which has both a low resistivity and high permeability, can efficiently utilize solar light for the excitation of a carrier, and can be manufactured using an inexpensive material. Also disclosed is a process for manufacturing the solar cell. The solar cell is characterized by comprising a photoelectric conversion layer, a first electrode layer arranged on the light incident surface side, and a second electrode layer arranged opposed to the first electrode layer, wherein the first electrode layer has a thickness of 10 to 200 nm inclusive and has multiple penetrating openings, the area of each of the individual openings is 80 nm2 to 0.8 μm2 inclusive, and the aperture ratio of the openings is 10 to 66% inclusive. The first electrode layer in the cell can be formed utilizing a single particle layer of microparticles, the etching of a dot pattern formed by self-assembly of a block copolymer on a mask, or a stamper.
