Abstract:
A solar cell is characterized as follows: From among a first principal surface and a second principal surface, at least the first principal surface has a light-transmissive insulating resin layer above a conductive amorphous semiconductor film layer, said light-transmissive insulating resin layer having an opening portion, at least part of which passes through in the thickness direction from the surface. A collector electrode is a plated electrode mechanically and electrically connected to the layer located directly below and buried in the opening portion along the inner shape of the opening portion. At at least part of the collector electrode in an extending direction, the width-direction end position of a portion contacting the layer located directly below is located outside the width-direction end position on the front surface side of the light-transmissive insulating resin layer, thereby forming the width of a connection portion connected to the layer located directly below to be wider than the width on the front surface side of the light-transmissive insulating resin layer. In the opening portion, the area of the connection portion is larger than the sectional area in the surface direction of a conductive crystal-based semiconductor substrate, excluding the connection portion.
