Abstract:
Provided are: a solar cell refurbishment method that can efficiently remove shorted parts from a wide variety of solar cells of different types and with different characteristics; a method for manufacturing solar cells suited to said refurbishment method; a solar cell manufactured by said manufacturing method; a solar cell refurbishment device; a solar cell manufacturing device and inspection device, and a solar cell for which said devices are used. First, setting information is inputted, said setting information consisting of a combination of an optimal voltage application time (302a) and voltage step value (302b) for a thin-film solar cell (100). A stepped reverse voltage is then generated and applied to a solar power generation cell (105) from which a shorted part is to be removed. The resulting leakage current is detected, and when said leakage current falls to or below an allowable leakage current, the shorted part removal process is ended.
