Abstract:

A solar cell, wherein the inclusion of undesirable impurities is suppressed, and solar cell properties are good. This solar cell (100) is provided with: a semiconductor substrate (10) having a light-receiving surface and a back surface; a first semiconductor layer (12a) of a first conductivity type, formed at a predetermined region on the back surface of the semiconductor substrate; a second semiconductor layer (13a) of a second conductivity type, formed extending over the surface of the first semiconductor layer from the back surface of the semiconductor substrate; and a cap layer (30) formed between the first semiconductor layer and second semiconductor layer, and not including impurities of the first conductivity type.
