Abstract:
Provided is a simple configuration with which it is possible to avoid short circuits between solar cells. Specifically, a solar module comprises a plurality of solar cells (2-1, 2-2, 2-3) which are long in one direction, said solar cells (2-1, 2-2, 2-3) further comprising a lower conductive layer, an upper conductive layer, and a semiconductor layer between the upper and lower conductive layers, wherein edge parts of adjacent solar cells are overlapped, and the adjacent solar cells are electrically connected. Each respective solar cell further comprises: end part processed regions (A1) formed by processing being carried out on both end parts of the solar cell to prevent the upper conductive layer and the lower conductive layer from short circuiting; and a main power generating region (A2) in the center part of the solar cell, wherein photoelectric conversion is substantially carried out. The edge parts of the solar cell which overlap with the edge parts of another solar cell overlap within the main power generating region (A1) of the lower solar cell.
