Abstract:
Provided is a solar thermal power generation system which is provided with a heat storage device suitable for a direct steam generation (DSG) process and capable of generating power efficiently during both day and night. The solar thermal power generation system comprises: solar thermal heat-collection devices (21), (22); a steam turbine (31); a generator (32); a heat storage device (4) which exchanges heat with a heat medium to perform heat storage and heat dissipation; a condenser (51); a water tank (52) for storing condensed water; and a water supply pump (53) for pumping water from the water tank (52). The solar thermal power generation system can be switched between: a day operation mode in which the storing of heat into the heat storage device (4) and the operation of the steam turbine (31) are performed using heated steam supplied from the solar thermal heat-collection devices (21), (22); and a night operation mode in which the operation of the steam turbine (31) is performed using heated steam heated by receiving heat dissipation from the heat storage device (4). The heat storage device (4) incorporates a chemical heat storage material capable of storing heat and dissipating heat by means of a dehydration reaction and a hydration reaction, and is configured to utilize the heat medium as a reaction water which is released or introduced in response to a reaction of the chemical heat storage material.
