Abstract:

Sole of sports shoes suitable for efficient running. A recess not touching the ground is formed in the hind foot part to extend forward from the calcaneus. A belt-shaped region continuous to the recess is provided in the center of the middle foot part between the inside and outside of the sole to extend in the front-back direction. A reinforcing member and a midsole are provided in the middle foot part such that the top surface of the midsole on the inside is hard to be sunk downward by a load from above as compared with the belt-shaped region and in the outside. A longitudinal groove continuous to the belt-shaped region is formed in the front foot part to extend in the front-back direction in the center of the midsole body. The longitudinal groove is curved to become substantially parallel with the outer edge at front foot part of the sole.
