Abstract:

This solenoid valve is equipped with a valve seat provided partway along a main passage, a main valve body for opening and closing the main passage, a pilot passage branching off from the main passage, an orifice provided in the pilot passage, a back pressure chamber connected downstream of the orifice in the pilot passage and for impelling the main valve body in the direction for closing by means of internal pressure, a pilot valve disposed downstream of the connection point to the back pressure chamber on the pilot passage and for controlling the pressure within the back pressure chamber, a solenoid for regulating the valve opening pressure for the pilot valve, and a second orifice provided between the back pressure chamber and the pilot valve.
