Abstract:
Provided is a feature relating to a solid-electrolyte-type electrolyzer having an excellent occupancy rate and device life without stopping a CO2 reduction reaction. According to the present invention, a solid-electrolyte-type electrolyzer is characterized in having a cathode for performing a reduction reaction, an anode constituting a pair of electrodes with the cathode, an electrolytic solution that comes into contact with the anode and supports a redox reaction, a solid electrolyte installed between the cathode and the anode, and a refresh unit for feeding a recovery liquid for diluting or substituting the electrolytic solution to the anode and removing a salt precipitating between the cathode and the solid electrolyte, the recovery liquid being a solution in which the concentration of positive ions identical to the positive ions contained in the salt is lower than that in the electrolytic solution.
