Abstract:
This solid fuel molding method comprises a pretreatment process of coarsely grinding low grade coal, a moisture-reducing process of removing moisture from the coarsely ground coal obtained from said pretreatment process, and a press-molding process of making the coarsely ground coal from which moisture has been removed into briquettes. In said press-molding process, the molding feedstock is prepared by mixing the coarsely ground coal from which moisture has been removed and low grade coal comprising microparticles with particle diameters of 0.10 mm or less so that the content of said microparticles is 5 mass% to 35 mass% in 100 mass% of the total of the coarsely ground coal and finely ground coal, and the molding feedstock obtained is made into briquettes.
