Abstract:
Provided is a method with which, in a solid-liquid-separation processing method for separating and removing solid content in a slurry while performing multi-stage cleaning of the slurry, the clarity of an obtained supernatant liquid can be improved, even in cases when the number of coupled-thickener-apparatus stages is reduced. In this solid-liquid-separation processing method: a thickener apparatus is provided at a plurality of stages, said thickener apparatus being equipped with an agitation tank, and a sediment separation tank provided with an overflow unit for discharging a supernatant liquid at a peripheral edge thereof, said sediment separation tank being also provided with a cylindrical feed well disposed vertically at a central part thereof; and solid content in a slurry is separated while the slurry is cleaned at multiple stages, and the solid content is removed to obtain a liquid solution. In the solid-liquid-separation processing method, when adding an agglomeration agent for causing agglomeration of the solid content in the slurry, a prescribed proportion of the agglomeration agent is added to the feed well of the thickener apparatus at the first stage, and the remainder of the agglomeration agent is added to the overflow unit in the thickener apparatus at the second stage.
