Abstract:
Disclosed is a solid lubricant having a sea-island structure, wherein the sea phase is reinforced so that the solid lubricant shows no defect or the like even when used under high-load conditions. Also disclosed is a slidable member having the solid lubricant embedded therein. The solid lubricant comprises 1 to 10 vol% of a polyethylene resin, 20 to 60 vol% of a hydrocarbon wax, 10 to 60 vol% of melamine cyanurate, 5 to 15 vol% of a polyamide resin and 2 to 10 vol% of a modified polyethylene resin. The slidable member has the solid lubricant embedded in a pore or groove formed on a sliding surface of a base body of the slidable member.
