Abstract:
Provided is a solid-lubricated rolling bearing, which is a rolling bearing provided with a solid lubricant, wherein a retainer has been devised to have few constraints with respect to the size of the solid lubricant, the lubricant is not easily removed from the surfaces of rolling elements, and the bearing is capable of rotating smoothly while the orientation of the retainer remains stable. A solid-lubricated rolling bearing 1 comprises an inner ring 3, an outer ring 2, a plurality of rolling elements 4, at least one solid lubricant 7 disposed between the rolling elements 4, and a retainer 5 separating the rolling elements 4 and the solid lubricant 7 in a circumferential direction, wherein the retainer 5 includes an annular section 5a and a plurality of pillar sections 5b extending from the annular section 5a in an axial direction so as to separate the rolling elements 4 in the circumferential direction. The surfaces of the pillars 5b in contact with the rolling elements 4 in the circumferential direction are defined by planes crossing the pitch circle of the rolling elements 4 so as to form a right angle to the direction of revolution of the rolling elements 4.
