A diagnostic imaging agent useful for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging as well as to improved hardware for producing such imaging agents is described. Fluciclatide (18F) Injection for the imaging of malignant diseases, heart diseases, endometriosis, inflammation-related diseases, rheumatoid arthritis and Kaposi's sarcoma and anti-angiogenic therapies including high-grade glioma, renal cell carcinoma, melanoma and invasive breast tumours and distant metastases as well as head and neck tumours and methods and devices for preparing the same are described including the automated synthesis and purification of [18F]fluciclatide by means of solid phase extraction (SPE).
