Abstract:
A solid poly(lactic acid) composition characterized by comprising poly(lactic acid) having a weight-average molecular weight in terms of polystyrene, as determined by GPC, of 40,000 or less and a basic compound of an alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal, which is a residue of an accelerator for molecular-weight reduction, and by containing the basic compound in an amount of 0.5-20 mass%.
