Abstract:
A fuel cell is formed by stacking a plurality of cells. Each cell is composed of a membrane electrode assembly, and a pair of separators (20, 30) sandwiching the membrane electrode assembly. Each separator (20, 30) has a substrate (21, 31) made of a metal material. First layers (24, 34) are disposed on the surfaces of the substrates (21, 31). The first layers (24, 34) include resin films (25, 35) and conductive particles (26, 36) having a hardness greater than that of oxide films (23, 33) of the substrates (21, 31). Between adjacent separators (20, 30), the first layers (24, 34) touch each other.
