Abstract:
A solid state image capture device, comprising a plurality of pixels, has a first substrate and a second substrate whereupon circuit elements which configure the pixels are positioned, said first substrate and second substrate being electrically connected by a connection unit. The pixels further comprise: sample hold capacitors which retain output signals corresponding to signals which the photoelectric conversion elements have emitted; and a clamp capacitor which fixes the voltages of the output signals which are retained in the plurality of sample hold capacitors. The sample hold capacitors and the clamp capacitor are capacitors having a structure wherein two flat rectangular metallic electrodes are made to face one another. In the plurality of pixels which share the clamp capacitor, the distances between two adjacent sample hold capacitors are equal, the lengths of one side of the two adjacent sample hold capacitors are equal, the distances between the respective sample hold capacitors and the clamp capacitor are equal, and the lengths of one side of the sample hold capacitors which face the clamp capacitors are equal.
