Abstract:

A solid-state image capturing device (100) is provided with: an image capturing unit (222) which captures an image of a subject, and generates a plurality of pieces of image data each having information corresponding to a different color component in the same pixel placement; an operation mode setting unit (5101) which sets the operation mode of the image capturing unit (222); a thinning rate setting unit (5102) which sets a thinning rate for each of the plurality of pieces of color component image data according to the operation mode; a thinning processing unit (262) which performs thinning processing on each of the plurality of pieces of color component image data generated by the image capturing unit (222) according to the thinning rate; and a transmission unit (502) which transmits the plurality of pieces of color component image data subjected to the thinning processing.
