Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a solid-state image capturing device capable of further improving the polarization efficiency. Provided is a solid-state image capturing device comprising a pixel array unit in which a plurality of pixels are arranged in two dimensions, wherein each of the plurality of pixels has at least a polarizer including a conductive light-shielding material, a photoelectric conversion element that performs photoelectric conversion, and a medium, the medium is arranged around the polarizer, and the medium has a predetermined refractive index n, and also provided is a solid-state image capturing device comprising a pixel array unit in which a plurality of first pixels and at least one second pixel are arranged in two dimensions, wherein each of the plurality of first pixels has a photoelectric conversion element that performs photoelectric conversion, the at least one second pixel has a polarizer including a conductive light-shielding material, a photoelectric conversion element that performs photoelectric conversion, and a medium, the medium is arranged around the polarizer, and the medium has a predetermined refractive index n.
