Title:
SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP ELEMENT AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/098640
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The disclosure of the present invention pertains to a solid-state image pickup element and an electronic device that enable the realization of phase difference detection pixels for which problems such as a reduction in the sensitivity to incident light and a reduction in phase difference detection accuracy are avoided. The solid-state image pickup element, which is the first aspect of the disclosure of the present invention, is a solid-state image pickup element in which combined are normal pixels that generate the pixel signals of an image and phase difference detection pixels that generate pixel signals which are used in phase difference signal calculation for controlling an image-surface phase difference AF function, wherein, with respect to the phase difference detection pixels, formed for each of the plurality of adjacent phase difference detection pixels is a shared on-chip lens which is for collecting incident light for a photoelectric conversion unit that generates the pixel signals used in the calculation of the phase difference signal. The disclosure of the present invention can be applied to a rear-surface irradiation-type CMOS image sensor and an electronic device equipped therewith.
