Abstract:
A solid state imaging device can be configured to have a small size which is appropriate for enlarging the dynamic range. The solid state imaging device includes: a photo diode (101) serving as a photoelectric conversion unit which generates electric charge by incident light; a MOS transistor (102) connected to the photo diode (101) so as to serve as a first transfer unit for transferring the electric charge; a floating diffusion region (103) serving as a first accumulation unit for accumulating the electric charge via the MOS transistor (102); a MOS transistor (104) connected to the floating diffusion region (103) and connected to the MOS transistor (102) in series so as to serve as a second transfer unit; and MOS transistors (106, 107) as an output unit which outputs via the MOS transistor (104), a signal voltage corresponding to the quantity of the electric charge.
