Abstract:
This technology relates to: a solid-state imaging device for performing high-dynamic-range imaging by detecting both electrons and holes, wherein high-quality images can be obtained; a drive method for such a solid-state imaging device; and an electronic apparatus. This solid-state imaging device comprises: pixels, each of which includes a photodiode that performs photoelectric conversion of incident light; and a drive control unit that controls driving of the pixels. The pixels accumulate a first charge that is produced by the photoelectric conversion in the photodiode and accumulate a second charge produced by the photoelectric conversion in a first capacitor disposed in a pixel separation unit. After a pixel signal based on the second charge accumulated in the first capacitor is output, the drive control unit causes a pixel signal based on the first charge accumulated in the photodiode to be output. This technology can be applied to a solid-state imaging device or the like that performs high-dynamic-range imaging by detecting both electrons and holes.
