Abstract:

Provided is a solid-state imaging apparatus (100) equipped with a plurality of pixels (20) positioned in the form of a matrix on a semiconductor substrate, each of the plurality of pixels (20) comprising: a photoelectric conversion unit (1) which converts received light into a signal charge; at least one read gate (6) which reads out the signal charge from the photoelectric conversion unit (1); a plurality of charge storage units (2) which store the signal charge read out by the at least one read gate (6); and a charge storage unit (10) which receives and holds the transfer of a signal charge stored in one of the plurality of charge storage units (2), and transfers the held signal charge to one of the plurality of charge storage units (2). Each of the plurality of charge storage units (2) contains some of the transfer channels (4) and part of a transfer electrode (5) which partially overlaps with the semiconductor substrate in plan view, and there are a plurality of transfer channels (4) for each pixel.
