Abstract:
In the present invention, an imaging element (110) is provided with PD pixels for outputting an image signal (D1) and SC pixels for outputting an image signal (D2). An imaging element control unit (122) drives the PD pixels in reverse bias mode so as to impart linear characteristics to the image signal (D1), and drives the SC pixels in zero-bias mode so as to impart log characteristics to the image signal (D2). An image signal processing unit (121) selects the image signal (D1) as an output image signal (D3) if the level of the image signal (D1) is less than or equal to a threshold TH corresponding to the level of the image signal of an inflection point, and selects the image signal (D2) as the output image signal (D3) if the level of the image signal (D1) is greater than the threshold TH.
