Abstract:

This solid-state imaging device (1) is equipped with photoelectric conversion parts (11, 12), transfer parts (21, 22), first buffer parts (31, 32), second buffer parts (51, 52), first output parts (40), and second output parts (60). The photoelectric conversion parts (11, 12) generate electric charges in accordance with incident light thereon. The transfer parts (21, 22) transfer the generated electric charges in one direction or in a second direction, said second direction being opposite to the first direction, in response to a three-phase or four-phase drive signal. Upon obtaining the electric charges respectively transferred in the first and second directions by the transfer parts (21, 22), the first buffer parts (31, 32) and second buffer parts (51, 52) respectively transfer the obtained electric charges in the first and second directions in response to a two-phase drive signal. Upon obtaining the electric charges transferred from the first buffer parts (31, 32) and second buffer parts (51, 52), the first output parts (40) and second output parts (60) respectively output signals that correspond to the obtained electric charges.
