Abstract:
A solid-state imaging device (1) comprises: a control unit (20) that causes each of a plurality of pixels (3) to output a first pixel signal by performing a long exposure and converting a charge to a voltage using a first gain, and output a second pixel signal by performing a short exposure and converting a charge to a voltage using a second gain, said second gain being smaller than the first gain; a second memory (80) that stores, associated with each row of the plurality of pixels (3), one pixel signal between the first pixel signal and the second pixel signal; and a WDR compositing circuit (70) that, for each row, associates the one pixel signal stored in the second memory (80) and the other pixel signal between the first pixel signal and the second pixel signal, uses these to amplify the second pixel signal such that the post-amplification slope thereof with regard to the intensity of incident light creates a line with the first pixel signal, and composites the first pixel signal and the post-amplification second pixel signal.
